1 Using Stepmello

Stepmello is a space for mindful reflection. When you use our app, you agree to:

• Be at least 13 years old (or have parental consent)
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Use the app for its intended purpose — personal reflection and wellbeing
• Respect other users if you interact with community features

2 Your Account

Your Stepmello account is personal to you:

• You're responsible for all activity under your account
• Don't share your password with others
• Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• You can delete your account anytime — we'll remove your data within 30 days

3 Your Content

The reflections, thoughts, and memories you create in Stepmello belong to you. Here's what that means:

• Ownership: You retain all rights to your reflections and content
• License: You give us permission to store and display your content back to you
• Sharing: If you choose to share publicly, you grant others permission to view it
• Responsibility: You're responsible for the content you create

4 Our Service

We promise to:

• Provide a reliable, thoughtfully designed experience
• Protect your data with care (see our Privacy Policy)
• Continuously improve based on feedback
• Communicate clearly about any significant changes

We also need you to understand:

• The app is provided "as is" — we can't guarantee it will always be perfect
• We may need occasional downtime for maintenance
• Features may change as we grow and improve

5 Subscriptions & Payments

Stepmello offers both free and premium features:

• Free Tier: Core reflection features are always free
• Premium: Enhanced features available through subscription
• Billing: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Refunds: Contact us within 7 days of purchase if something isn't right
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime; you'll keep access until your period ends

6 Intellectual Property

The Stepmello app, including our design, brand, and features, belongs to us:

• Our name, logo, and visual identity are protected
• The app's code, design, and content are our intellectual property
• You're welcome to use the app, but not to copy or redistribute it

7 Limitation of Liability

While we do our best to create a wonderful experience:

• We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the past 12 months
• We're not responsible for content you choose to share with others

These limitations don't apply where prohibited by law.

8 Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms occasionally:

• We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice
• Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms
• Previous versions will be available for reference

9 Ending Our Relationship

Either of us can end this relationship:

• You: Delete your account anytime from settings
• Us: We may suspend accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination: Your data will be deleted according to our privacy policy

10 General Matters

• Governing Law: These terms are governed by United States law
• Disputes: We hope to resolve any issues amicably through conversation first
• Entire Agreement: These terms, plus our Privacy Policy, form our complete agreement
• Severability: If any part is found invalid, the rest still applies
